From the Würzburger Mainpost of 11. October 2016 (scht):
Travesty star Elke Winter has heated up the audience at the Rosa-Hilfe Gala in the Bockshorn. Also the other artists, the choir Sotto Voce, comediva Birgit Süß, harpist and singer Nico Rosenberger and the dancers of Nowbody Knowz, provided good mood, cheering and hustle and bustle.
Claudia Stamm, Member of Parliament of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, struck a serious note when she described the difficult situation of homosexual refugees who “are discriminated against in the communal accommodation”. On behalf of the patron, Lord Mayor Christian Schuchardt, the chairwoman of the CSU city council faction, Christine Boetsch, praised the gala as “a cultural highlight”.
The event was moderated by former SPD city councillor Homaira Mansury, who had come specially from her new home in Cologne to her old adopted city of Wuerzburg.
According to Bjoern Soldner of the gay and lesbian center WuF, the proceeds of the evening will be used to train the Rosa helper consultants. His hope: That the money will be enough to replace the decrepit computer and PC at WuF.
